Q: How many feet of film fit on a DVD?

A: Approximately 2000ft of 8mm film, and 4000ft of 16mm film fit on a single DVD.

 

Q: Can background music added to silent 8mm or 16mm films?

A: Yes. You can supply music from any personal CD that you have, or you can tell us the names, artists, or era of the music that you would like to use, and we can compose it for you.

 

Q: Is there an extra charge for film with sound already on it?

A: No. If there is sound on the film, it is included in the price of transferring the films.

 

Q: What if I don't know what's on the films, or want to put them in a certain order, is there any way to view the films before I transfer them to DVD?

A: Yes, you have two options:

  • You can rent a projector from us to view the films to determine the order. However, this is not recommended due to projectors being very destructive to films.
  • Let us do the work for you. We transfer the films for you to a digital format, and work one on one with you to determine the chronological order, determine which films to omit, and edit parts of film that you would like to exclude from your final DVD Video.

Q: How many hours of video fit on a DVD?

A: We can fit a maximum of 2 1/2 hours of video onto a single DVD.

 

Q: Can multiple videos be combined to make a single DVD?

A: Yes. We can combine as many videos, from any format together to produce a final DVD up to 2hrs.

 

Q: I don't want to transfer the whole video. Can I remove certain parts of the video that I do not want?

A: Yes. We will honor any requests for specific parts of your video to be edited out before transferring to DVD. You can describe or write down the parts of your video you would like to edit out, or work one on one with us to dertermine what you would like edited out.

 

Q: Are you able to restore my videos?

A: Yes. If the video is dark, has bad color, or the audio is bad, when can restore all these problems for an additional charge.

Q: What dpi do you scan my slides at?

A: We scan all slides at 4000dpi. This ensures that you recieve the highest quality image possible.

 

Q: Do you restore, repair or remove dust particles from images?

A: Yes. All slides and pictures are scanned using Digtal I.C.E. technology, which removes dust, and restores color in all photos. After this is done, we go through every single scanned image again and manually repair any other defects that a image may have.

 

Q: How many slides or pictures fit on a DVD slide show?

A: Approximately 1000 slides or pictures will fit on a single DVD slide show.

 

Q: How long is each photo displayed for on screen during the slide show?

A: By default, each photo is displayed for 8 seconds each, but we can also change this amount to be longer or shorter depending on personal preference, time limits, or if we are creating a custom slide show for any special event or occasion.

 

Q: Can I stop or pause on a photo during the slide show?

A: Yes. At anytime during the slide show, simply press the pause button on your remote to stop on a photo.

 

Q: Can video be mixed into a photo slide show?

A: Yes, we can add video from any format and incorporate it into any DVD slide show.

 

Q: Can I add text or titles to the slide show?

A: Yes, titles, credits, and sub-titles can be added to any DVD slide show.

Q: Do you restore the audio before transferring them to CD?

A: Yes. We will remove crackling, hiss, poor audio output, or any other problems before transferring them to CD.

 

Q: How many minutes of audio fit on one CD?

A: A maximum of 95 minutes can fit on one regular CD.

 

Q: Are tracks added to separate songs on a CD?

A: Yes. We will separate each song onto its own track, and you'll be able to browse through it like any other CD.

 

Q: I don't want a CD, but rather a Mp3 data CD containing all my audio. Is this something you can do?

A: Yes. We can convert all your audio to Mp3 format, and burn a data CD or DVD containing all your music. You can play hours of music from a single disc on your CD player if it supports the format, and the disc can also be used to upload all the music to your Ipod or Mp3 player.
